The 59 LSCs of USA Swimming are divided into Four Zones: Western, Eastern, Southern, and Central. Each Zone has their own board, which includes a Senior & Junior Athlete Representative. The Zone representatives are elected by athletes in their Zone and pursuant to the policies of their respective Zones of USA Swimming. Although their specific duties depend on their Zone's bylaws, Zone Reps generally serve as the chair of the Zone's Athletes' Representative Committee (ZARC), create goals and communicate with the Zone's LSCs, and mentor LSC athlete reps. The Zone representatives also sit on the Zone Directors' Council (ZDC).
