This guidebook is meant to help USA Swimming Athlete representatives through their leadership journey by providing an in depth overview of the governance aspect of our sport.
By no means do you have to read the whole guide to be a successful athlete rep. We hope you can use it as a reference if certain problems, or questions arise. You'll see many different sections filled with explanations, diagrams, tips, and examples. If there's a word or phrase you don't know, feel free to consult the end for a quick definition of that thing you heard at that board meeting. Even if you are just starting out, or have been doing this for a few years, we hope this survival guide points you in the right direction as you navigate this crazy, yet rewarding opportunity to grow as a leader and develop leaders around you. |
