Swimming has always been a big piece of my life and some of my fondest memories of the sport have been from my experiences as an athlete rep within USA Swimming. I should be considered as a committee member on the Athletes' Executive Committee because of my experience and passion. For the past two years I have served as the Central Zone Athlete Director. During this time I successfully built a community within the CZ by hosting USA Swimming’s first in person zone leadership workshop. In this position I also hosted a virtual leadership summit in 2021, held monthly athlete socials, built up our social media presence, and maintained regular communication with our LSC athlete reps. This experience has allowed me to understand the inner workings of USA Swimming Governance, and the importance of communication and organization; all skills that will bring me success if elected to the AEC. I believe great leaders build other leaders; which fuels my passion to continue to serve the USA Swimming community. My passion for leadership within USA Swimming has continually grown as I have gone from LSC athlete rep, to Zone Athlete Director, to running for the Athletes’ Executive Committee. I believe I have the experience and desire to serve you successfully as a member of the AEC, and with your vote I can continue to give back the sport and community that has given us all so much. |
